DELICIOUS FLAVOURS FROM NATURE

One of my favourites is to create drinks with the delicate and subtle flavours of nature.

There really is no recipe; as always my favourite recipes are easy to create.

I add flowers to my glass of water, let the glass sit in the sun (or not) for a short while before enjoying it.

Needless to say, you only want to use nontoxic, edible flowers. I suggest, you do NOT use the flowers from plants bought at any of the stores because most of them will have been treated with chemicals.

Examples of flowers: Dandelion, Borage, Wild Rose, Fireweed, Pansies, Lilacs.

Be creative and enjoy.

Green Blessings,

Gudrun

Happy birthday Canada!

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

“It’s easier to fool the masses than to convince them that they are being fooled.” – Mark Twain

When has anyone ever been offered free tuition, a company bonus or lottery win etc. for agreeing to a medical procedure?
Does this not make you stop and wonder what is really going on in the world right now?
We have seen thousands of deaths already as the direct result of this “cocktail” currently being injected into people, not to mention the number of side effects. Yet, the goal to inject the entire world remains. In the past, when any such program resulted in 25-50 deaths, the procedures were stopped immediately. What is going on?

On a different note, or maybe not, you might want to explore a document by the government of Canada on the exploration of biodigital convergence, https://horizons.gc.ca/…/…/exploring-biodigital-convergence/

WEEDS FOR WELLNESS – DANDELION

Finally the bright yellow flowers are brightening the landscape – a sure sign that spring is here to stay. Hard to believe that herbalists have great appreciation for this marvelous creation of nature? We use flowers, buds, leaves and roots as food and medicine. My grandkids nibble on the flowers and young leaves.

Last year I made a crown out of dandelion flowers for my then 4 year old grand daughter. She was wearing it proudly as we walked into Canadian Tire. With great joy I observed the reactions of customers especially when we were wandering around the Round-up shelf. So much fun!

Be creative and “brave” – eat flowers and young leaves, add both to salads, make a Dandelion flower cold infusion. Decorate ice creams and cakes … and most of all, have fun and be grateful for the gift of this plant that most consider to be a pesky weed.

FOOD for the SOUL

Nourishing our bodies with food is like tending to a garden. If we want to be healthy, we need to provide the nutrients that will allow our bodies to generate healthy cells. In times of stress this is even more important because stress depletes our bodies of vital nutrients. At the same time, for many of us, stress triggers cravings for sweet comfort foods. Fortunately we can easily create treats ourselves. Fast, easy, and delicious is my kitchen motto. Here is one of my daughter’s favourites – no bake, gluten free cookies.

NUT/SEED BUTTER – OAT – COCONUT COOKIES

Ingredients:
1/2 cup nut butter (I use almond butter)
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup cacao powder
1/4 – 1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups quick rolled oats (gluten free)
1/2 cup shredded coconut

Directions:
In a bowl, mix together all ingredients, except for oats and coconut;
Add oats and coconut, stir until well mixed;
Drop one spoonful at a time on a cookie shoot (prepared with parchment paper);
Place cookie sheet in freezer (30-45 minutes);
Store cookies in airtight container in fridge or freezer

Be CREATIVE and come up with your own variations of this basic recipe. ENJOY but remember, these cookies are still treats!

NATURE as the ARTIST

What a gift to be able to go bush whacking again, recharging spirit and soul while discovering artful creations from Mother Earth. It is a great time of the year when nature is coming alive with its vibrant colours, the sounds of birds and insects.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT – “OUTSIDE THE BOX”

Think – Question – Research – Act – Educate

Did you know that the so-called v…. is not a v… at all? A “needle” needs to stimulate a person’s immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease. Immunity is the protection from an infectious disease. If you are immune to a disease, you can be exposed to it without becoming infected. This currently used injection does not provide the individuals who receive it with immunity to the virus, nor does it prevent the transmission of this disease. It does not meet the CDC’s own definition of a v…. It is only designed to minimize your symptoms if you were to be infected.

Did you know that the pharmaceutical industry is protected by law from any liability in the event of injuries including death from any “shot”?

The BEST DEFENSE against this virus like any other form of illness is keeping your immune system strong. This includes:

– a wholesome diet of organic foods
– reducing/eliminating refined sugar and processed foods
– quieting down for meals rather than eating on the run or when overly stressed
– avoiding/treating allergens
– supplementation with immune enhancing vitamins, minerals and herbs
– exercise
– fresh air and sun-bathing
– adequate sleep
– minimizing emotional and mental stress factors
– reducing exposure to EMF/electromagnetic background radiation. If nothing else, turn off the router at night
– minimizing time spent on social media, the internet, and listening to mainstream media
– adding activities into your daily life that bring you joy which includes spending time with friends
– showing your smile…

Enjoy the day,
Gudrun

“THE FLOWERS OF TOMORROW ARE IN THE SEEDS OF TODAY” Author unknown

My mind is filled with thoughts and questions about what is currently happening in the world. Our children, the plant and animal kingdom, and Mother Earth cannot make their own voices heard. We therefore owe it to them to stand up and speak up on behalf of them. Educating ourselves about the current realities and taking action, is critical if we want to be instrumental in creating positive change, securing our rights and freedoms and a planet that will continue to be able to provide in a healthy way for all – now and in the future.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil; God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.” Dietrich Bonhoeffer

I, once again, encourage each and everyone of you to educate yourself with a critical and questioning mind. As far as I am concerned, this is not only our choice but our responsibility. Acting out of convenience, choosing the path of the least resistance, may lead to unexpected and potentially regrettable consequences.

Did you know that in 1976 during the Swine Flu a “shot” was rushed to market which after only 6 weeks was halted because there were 25 deaths and 362 cases of a neurological disorder reported in the US?

Did you know that by March 19 already 2,050 death were reported in the US alone from the currently used injection, 524 of these happened within 24 hours of the event?

Did you know that by March 13 Europe had already reported 3,964 deaths and more than 162,000 injuries?

Did you know that the survival rate of the virus that is currently holding the world hostage is better than 99%?

Did you know that none of the “shots” have been approved by the FDA or Health Canada and are therefore considered experimental?

Did you know that some insurance providers (health and life insurance) will not be covering people who got the injection under a clause that exists on some policies about the use of experimental treatments?

The intent of this post is to draw attention to some of the facts that are not usually part of the common narrative. We are all responsible for our own decisions. Unfortunately family, friends and society in general, have been divided in an unprecedented way by the current global crises. Let’s move forward with respect, tolerance, and “open arms” regardless of our differences.

Green Blessings,
Gudrun
