The abundance and beauty of the Earth at this time of the year in the Peace Country is amazing. Let’s experience the magic of Mother Earth during this day of celebration. Learn about local weeds, herbs and plants – how to use them as foods and medicines.
CONTENTS:
- Ceremony to honor the Earth
- Gathering and identifying of plants, specifically medicinally used herbs
- Herb Walk through the bush
- Exercises to connect to plant spirit
- Time permitting, the movie: “The Sanctity of Sanctuary: Paul Strauss and the Equinox Farm” or “Juliette of the Herbs”
(Both movies are biographies of great herbalists.)

CLASS CONTENTS
- HERBAL PHARMACY – Creating herbal preparations with readily available herbs and simple, yet effective methods
- CONNECTING TO PLANT SPIRIT – Exercises to guide students to experience and communicate with the spirit of plants
- TRADITIONAL MEXICAN HEALING – Ancient forms of healing such as the cleansing with smoke will be part of the weekend.
The workshop is practical and experiential which means all of the techniques will be demonstrated and students will be able to prepare and experience some of the applications personally.
