What is Emotional Freedom Technique?

EFT, founded by Gary Craig, is a powerful, yet very simple, tool for healing. It is used worldwide by professionals working in various healing fields as well as by individuals who are interested in improving their life by freeing themselves of any limitations to living life to the fullest potential. Factors limiting a person from living freely include for example fears, phobias, anxiety, panic attacks, guilt, grief, disturbing memories including post traumatic stress disorder, guilt, depression, addictions, sensitivities and allergies to foods as well as inhalants. It can also be applied to help with weight loss, improve test results or become a public speaker.  The list of possible applications for EFT is unlimited. Gary Craig used to say: Try it on anything!

The discovery behind this simple method is that emotional disturbances are the result of an imbalance in the body’s energy system. In essence, EFT can be considered a psychological version of acupuncture, except that instead of using needles one uses the fingers to tap on selected points of the energy meridians. Scientific studies have shown that EFT is able to rapidly reduce the emotional impact of memories and incidents that trigger emotional distress. Once the distress is reduced or removed, the body can often rebalance itself, and accelerate healing. Since our physical imbalances are frequently directly related to emotional factors, EFT has proven to also be very effective in improving or eliminating physical conditions/dis-ease processes.

EFT is very simple to learn and apply, yet it is extremely effective. It is completely painless, has no undesirable side-effects, does not involve painfully reliving past traumatic events, and often only takes minutes to achieve results. In fact, it may provide relief in stressful situations in only seconds. EFT can be applied for any circumstance imaginable and is for anybody, adults, children and animals.
